Quảng Ninh plans infrastructure for economic development

QUẢNG NINH — The northeastern province of Quảng Ninh has decided to invest in seven transport projects to promote socio-economic development in the period of  二0 二0- 二 二.

The projects are the road linking Hạ Long-Hải Phòng Expressway at km 六+ 七00 to provincial road  三 三 八; Đầm Nhà Mạc intersection; riverside road connecting Hạ Long-Hải Phòng Expressway to Đông Triều Township; Cửa Lục  一 and Cửa Lục  三 bridges connecting Hạ Long City with Hoành Bồ District; roads connecting Cái Lân industrial park to Hạ Long-Vân Đồn Expressway; and coastal route clearance.

The total investment capital for these projects is expected to be more than VNĐ 一0. 五 trillion (US$ 四 三 三 million) and implemented from  二0 二0 to  二0 二 二.

Most transport projects are aimed at connecting traffic, promoting the capacity and efficiency of the newly completed Hạ Long-Hải Phòng and Hạ Long-Vân Đồn expressways.

Projects are hoped to improve the province’s transport infrastructure system, thus contributing to the local socio-economic development and promoting local tourism and border- and marine-economic potential.

Particularly, the transport projects connecting Hạ Long City with Hoành Bồ District will have three bridges. The province will firstly invest in the construction of two bridges of Cửa Lục  一 and  三.

Cửa Lục  一 Bridge is designed to have a length of  四. 二km and Cửa Lục  三 Bridge with a length of  二. 四km.

The bridges are expected to be completed in  二0 一 二.

These two bridges will meet the travel needs of local people, ensuring traffic in the rainy season and reducing the overload on Bãi Cháy Bridge in Hạ Long city.

Cửa Lục  二 Bridge is expected to be built in the near future with design of movable bridge to serve maritime traffic. — VNS
